Wise
British fintech company Wise have a new HQ in Shoreditch, London, a space that celebrates the area’s rich creative history through bold colours, artwork, and thoughtful design.
Spanning 90,000 sq ft across five floors, we are delighted to have partnered with Overbury & HLW to deliver a range of bespoke joinery to help the space meet the needs of over 1,000 employees.
The Design
Bold colour runs throughout the space. Particularly prominently featured across a series of AV units, with each displaying part of the scheme’s broad palette. Each shelf is illuminated by LED lighting for a clear and functional display space.
A custom device testing lab, constructed from MDF and finished in oak veneer from DF Richards, combines functionality with contemporary design and is a clear example of the client-led design process.

On the ground floor, the events area is built to promote conversation, from casual catch-ups to more formal events.
A bespoke angled reception desk finished in powder-coated aluminium sets a modern and welcoming tone for visitors.
The space includes a games room AV unit to promote downtime, and a large tea point designed for both daily use and large gatherings. Finished in Arena tiles and Primordia stone worktops, the tea point also features a central planter, creating a calming, biophilic focal point. These areas appear on each floor, meaning the team is never far from a place to reset.
Nearby, planting banquette seating provides an informal, quiet spot to take a break.
Wellbeing at the Core
A dedicated wellness area sits away from the main office, offering a quieter spot to recharge. We produced the tea point finished in oak veneer, with Silestone worktops, along with joinery elements that support the calming feel of the space, including nap pods and a sauna.
Collaboration and Craftsmanship
In the auditorium, bi-folding doors allow the space to be divided into three smaller rooms for flexibility. The intricate detailing between wall cladding, door frames, and screens required close collaboration and precise coordination with other trades throughout the project.
This dynamic project stands as a testament to a forward-thinking employer committed to flexibility, comfort, and wellbeing.
It was a pleasure to collaborate with Overbury and HLW on such a vibrant and rewarding build.
