Due to planned and continued growth we are able to offer a new position within our Contracts department in the capacity of Contracts support
This role will provide support to our contracts managers and manufacture base, working on a series of prestigious fit-out projects for globally recognisable brands.
To be responsible for the efficient and effective collation of manufacturing information for issue to the shop floor and installation teams. To liaise with shop floor and site personnel in the event where clarification or instruction is required.
To be involved in a formal project handover from the Contracts Manager to ensure that the scope of works is fully understood and that project priorities are highlighted.
To review and maintain the Project File as the project progresses.
Schedule meetings with the manufacturing staff to ensure that any special project requirements are identified and understood.
To manage any external sub-contract works that may be necessary under instruction from the Contracts or Manufacturing Managers.
To raise any issues with the design of an item or highlight any value engineering measures back to the Contracts Manager and Draughtsperson.
To make purchasing and supplier decisions on certain stock items.
To prepare a “fixers copy” of construction issue drawings and cutting list to assist in the site installation of the manufactured items.
To control and administer the preparation and presentation of cutting lists and other manufacturing specific documents.
To perform minor alterations to drawing, ensuring that the Company standards are adhered to.
To understand and comply with the Company Policies covering Sustainability, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and the Environment.
A motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and grow within the company
Strong time keeping with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent computer literacy, in particular Microsoft Office, AutoCAD experience preferable but not essential.
Strong organisational skills
An understanding of either joinery, manufacturing or shopfitting
Ability to understand detailed information from multiple sources
Effective communication skills
Good interpersonal and man-management skills to form effective working relationships.
Personable, logical and able to work part of a close and dynamic team
