Banquette and Booth seating is not just a piece of furniture that you see in restaurants and hotels anymore. Architects and Designers of office fit-outs have been picking up on this trend for some time, adapting them into a working environment and using them in a variety of ways, whether it be for breakout spaces, meeting rooms or business lounges.
These seating elements are an excellent solution for any office space, but particularly those that see a lot of footfall or a high number of employees. They can add character or quirkiness to an office design by having an unusual shape or by adding bright colours, patterns and varied textures. They also offer more of a practical solution when compared to individual chairs which can clutter space and prove costly when fitting out an office environment. Banquette seating will instead maximise seating capacity whilst providing offices with the opportunity for collaborative working and other social aspects as well as offering privacy by simply adding dividing features.
Take a look at some of the banquettes we designed, manufactured and installed for a number of discerning clients.
This banquette seating is a key highlight of this business lounge that we recently completed as part of a full office fit-out for our client Withersworldwide. Built up from a stained dark Oak Veneered MDF frame this feature is complete with LED integral lighting and an acrylic centre piece, all fixed onto a custom floor to ceiling, pearl gold finished support.
This rather unique seating booth is a little older, installed in 2015 for Mastercard, but this ‘portal’ style design offers a private area for collaboration, whilst simultaneously making a visual statement.
The portal surround is made up of vertical grain oak veneer and solid oak edgings whilst the seating presents the bright use of the Mastercard colour palette across the upholstery and fabric wall paneling. The laminate white kronospan tables were also manufactured and installed by ourselves, illuminating the portals alongside the clever use of LED lighting.
