Thorpes team take part in Overbury sponsored golf day for Shooting Star Chase childrens hospice.
Four members of Thorpes of Great Glen's staff recently attended the first Shooting Star Chase golf day at the fantastic Shire course in Barnet, as members of the construction industry came together to raise a staggering £12,000 for the extremely worthy hospice.
Based in Surrey, Shooting Star Chase is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
"Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we are here to make every moment count. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care".
Organised by Overbury's Dan Galleni and Franchi's Marco Franchi, the combined donations, entry fees and the generous purchasing at the charity auction (which featured some cracking items) meant that £12,000 was raised for the hospice, with proceeds directly funding a new on-site gym.
